rossio is one of lisbons main squares, in the heart of the downtown neighborhood baixa. it’s original name is praca de dom pedro IV, but rossio is commonly used. the picture shows the typical portuguese pavement, one of the two fountains and in the background the teatro nacional d. maria II.
