Portugal 2014 recap with Instagram. Posted on September 25, 2014 by bigcitiesbrightlights Last week I spent 3 days in Lisbon and five at the Algarve with a good friend of mine. I had a long to-do-list for our time in Lisbon and we got to do almost all of it: We started our Lisbon adventure with a visit to Joana Vasconcelos’ boat and artwork “Trafaria Praia” which is docked at Ribeira das Naus at the moment. In the evening we went to visit the new Mercado da Ribeira and had the best food I’ve had in a long time: the salad with cherries, goat cheese, nuts and ice cream (!) was sooo good. We ended the day with Strawberry Caipiroskas and Mojitos from Pitcher Cocktails at Ribeira das Naus while watching a beautiful sunset. On Sunday we took the train to Belem to visit the exhibit of the portuguese street Artist Vhils at the Museum of Electricity. After a walk along the river and a visit to Village Underground, we stopped by the LX Factory for a Snack at Cafe na Fabrica… … and a stroll along the Sunday Market on the factory’s main street. In the afternoon we took the metro to Oriente and visited the weekly concert series “OutJazz” at Parque Tejo, had a few Sagres Radler and enjoyed the last sunrays of the day. On our third and last day in Lisbon we visited the Estrela park, the Mercado de Campo de Orique and the Cemeterio dos Prazeres. Unfortunately it rained for about 2 hours, but luckily we were sitting in the new, cute cafe in the Jardim do Estrela and enjoyed a second breakfast with Galao, fresh orange juice and a Pastel de Nata. Later on the tram No. 28 took us back to the center: View this post on Instagram Riding an (almost) empty Tram 28 from Estrela to Bairro Alto in the sunshine after it rained for hours … the best thing ever! #todayisthebestday #lisbonlover A post shared by CGN | 🚶🏼♀️🚶🏼♀️🚶🏼♀️ (@stadtflaneur) on Sep 15, 2014 at 9:01am PDT The following five days in Lagos were spent lazily at the beach after long nights out.
