After visiting the Cherry Blossom Street in Bonn in April I couldn’t wait to go to NY and see the blossoms in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Usually peak bloom is mid till end of April, but after a long and cold winter the blossoms were a bit late. Good for me because I visited at the beginning of May. There are three spots in the BBG to see the Cherry Blossoms: the Cherry Walk (photos 1-3), around the lake (photos 4-5) and the Cherry Esplanade (photos 6-8).
More pictures of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and some of the Cherry Blossoms on Roosevelt Island are in this post. More about the Cherry Blossoms and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden: www.bbg.org/discover/cherries
What a magnificent sight… thanks for sharing.

Cherry Blossoms are always a classic Brooklyn staple. If you haven’t seen them, GO SEE THEM!
Isn’t it just the most wonderful time of year? 🙂
