Lisbon. An evening at Ribeira das Naus.

 Lisbon Ribeira das Naus

Ribeira das Naus is the newly redesigned area between Praca Do Comercio and Cais do Sodre right at the Tagus riverbank. It includes a bike path, lawns for sunbathing, wide steps that lead down to the river and a Quiosque with an esplanade. We went there on our first day in Lisbon to check it out and were more than happy with what they made of this area, which used to be dirty, neglected and with lots of traffic.

Later on we visited Joana Vasconcelos’ Trafaria Praia and walked over to Mercado da Ribeira (right behind Cais do Sodre) for dinner. Afterwards we went back to Ribeira das Naus for sunset-watching and some Caipiroskas and Mojitos from Pitcher Cocktails.
