jardins d’agua is one of the little parks within the parque das nacoes, the area used for the expo in 1998. it is beautiful mix of water features, public art, shady places and walkways.it starts with a walkway above water surrounded by bamboo and trees which leads to the big water fall. in front of it is a big square with lots of little water jets, floating the square regularly. a few steps up and a completely different part begins. this section offers many benches under palm trees, water running down from a lake and the large scale sculpture of an giraffe:”a girafa” by portuguese artist fernanda fragateiro.
more about public art at parque das nacoes in this post.
